I don't even know how to start.
I've been studying the IB for two years now. The final exams are just over a month away and things are drawing to a close. The stress has been big - I've rarely had more than six hours of sleep, often four, every day. In two years, I've become habitually cynical and sometimes, irrationally angry. I never had time to go out and enjoy myself - like over Christmas, it wasn't celebrating with my friends, it was studying for the mock exams that came directly after. And I didn't do so hot in those. Now with every single class focused on revision, these exams are going to be some of the most important I've ever taken. I admit, I'm scared for the future. I don't know if I'll be staying in Hong Kong or going overseas, which is why I'm not going on a grad trip with my friends. If I don't/can't get into uni, who knows. Couple that with a rejection from the one person that gave me some semblance of genuine happiness and I think I just cracked. After school today, I just went to the forest behind the campus and cried. I can usually suppress my feelings and just do the job. But today, I just couldn't keep it in anymore.
I shouldn't be complaining. There are others out there in far worse situations than I am. For that, I commend them for dealing with such situations far worse than my own. I just wish I wasn't so weak.
Sorry for the babble Oppo. I just needed to let it out some more.

you can do it. I struggled so much during my engineering degree but came out on top in the end.

The way I look at it is if you aren't struggling, then you aren't trying hard enough! I can't say it will get any easier in college but at least you will have already learned how to study and how to survive on 4 hours of sleep. Trust me, college is definitely way harder if you have an easy time in high school (unless of course you become an art major :-P)

Don't worry too much man.
Studies are highly overrated really. After 4 years of political science, I ended up working for a skateboarding company that some friends own, my years of studies being of absolutly NO USE.
Then as I decided I wasn't making enough money there and wasn't really going anywhere with what I wanted, I moved to Japan, and I am now creating my own companies (yes plural lol), one being pretty much done and the other still a project that I will start working on in July, each involving one of my two passions. Still today, my studies are freaking useless lol.
So relax, sit back and wait to see what happens. You've studied like crazy for this. Chances are that you will alright. And if you are not, you can still tell yourself that you've done your best and you can take your time, thinking about other solutions. :)
And again: Long studies are REALLY overated.

please tell me your forest isn't like Aokigahara forest. keep it up and relax a little bit. We never know what the future holds for us. We all have struggles in life but it is up to us to have a positive attitude even in tough times.

All I have to add on top of this little moment of zen is to say that if you can find a long term goal to work towards, it makes the struggles easier. I remember being in University and spending 40+ hours in lecture and la on top of extra hours of lab time for classes, writing my thesis, and spending almost every evening writing up reports and papers one term. The only reason why I didn't quit was because I knew what I wanted to be and that all of this work would help me get there. And it did.
.....Still sucked ass while it was happening though. No one is saying you have to do all this with a smile on your face. You are allowed to say "I hate this moment in time". Take that opportunity and realize that this is both temporary and NOT where your story ends. Take a moment and collect yourself to keep going to the next chapter.

As an art major, I agree with this statement.
